For those companies and local authorities seeking to conform to European and UK recycling legislation and regulations, In-Vessel Composting UK’s ACMS system provides a vital tool in the effective management of catering and other biodegradable waste. Based on several years’ development, our unique design uses forced draft aeration to reduce biodegradable waste by over 50% in weight, converting it into a nutrition rich soil conditioner. Being completely enclosed, the system eliminates odours and other gaseous emissions, as well as access for birds and vermin, whilst speeding up sanitisation and stabilisation of organic matter. Our in-vessel composting system is suitable for both urban and rural environments, and our services include design, build, operational support and consultancy.
We’re continuing to innovate and develop our waste treatment technology with a new anaerobic digestion (ad) solution. Anaerobic digestion is currently the government’s recommended treatment option for food and catering waste. AD is a biological process that occurs naturally when bacteria breaks down organic matter in environments with little or no oxygen. The main outputs are an energy rich biogas that can be used to generate renewable energy and a stable organic digestate for recycling to the soil environment. With three AD facilities planned, we aim to become one of the UK’s leading providers for AD solutions. We offer services ranging from waste collection to conceptual design, construction and operational support.
We’d welcome the opportunity to introduce you to our pioneering In-Vessel systems at one of our recycling centres.
