Key Features
Mark out new planting beds and remove turf. Cultivate turf and plant with new plants, shrubs and trees. Bark mulch planting beds on completion.
Install raised oak timber planting beds incorporating overhead structures for climbers. These also had steel rope between them to act as the climbing aid. Once complete all block paving was re-installed to suit the planting beds. Once beds were complete these where then filled with soil and planted. Cotswold stone was then used to finish.
We also had to tie existing block paving into higher level slabs to form a seamless transition from each level.
Works in the courtyard also consisted of water feature installation and associated bases. One courtyard was to match in with the existing block paving and the other was slabs to match in with the ones there.
Remove all existing blocks, cobbles and tarmac to enable us to get a sound base to lay the new resin bond.
Once all was removed it became apparent that we would need to install a new steel edging to enable us to get the correct heights and for the correct shape.
After completing this and the levels being bought up to the correct height the area was base coursed in tarmac. The diameter of the tarmac had to be small as to not need to use over the allowed quantity for resin priced for. Once the tarmac done, resin bond was laid.
There was also a Life Bouy installed to replace the old one.

Achievements
Due to the sensitive nature of the site we had to work around the services as the site was still full operational.
Works to the planting beds at the front of site had to be started and completed over a weekend. The team achieved a lot of work int this time with no disruption to site.
The works to the court yards have been carried out to a very high standard with no snagging issues.
