Company first registered as domestic landscaping business. Jack passed his driving test and brought his first van, a Morris Minor
First business premises purchased in Brunswick Park Road, Wednesbury, doubled his workforce and bought his first pick-up
Became a founder member of BALI, the British Association of Landscape Industries
Jack Moody accepted onto a Council’s approved contractor list and wins its first major contracts for Walsall Council, installing two football pitches
Wednesbury Fencing was formed as part of a practical expansion
Jack Moody Landscaping became a Limited Company, staff number expanded and the business moved to the present site Hollybush Farm
A garden centre is opened at the Hollybush Farm site
A small nursery was added to the group of companies, Woodbridge Nurseries in Oxfordshire
Won the Grand Award in the BALI National Landscape Awards for landscaping at Sun Alliance Insurance Office, Snow Hill, Birmingham
New investment in vehicles and machinery for the ever expanding landscaping function
Second nursery set up at Hollybush, over 100,000 plants, shrubs & trees
Jack Moody Holdings plc was formed to bring together the landscaping & garden business centre
7 acre tree nursery opens, housing over 1000 trees
Waste Management License granted, composting begins in November with contracts from numerous local authorities to receive and process their green waste collected from both kerbside and civic amenity sites
Landscaping at Grange Park Northampton – became highest contract figure awarded to a landscape company (2.1 million)
Hollybush wins BBC Gardener’s World Live Best themed contribution to show. Company wins 20 year PFI Veolia/Birmingham City council contract for green waste processing
BALI Environmental Award – Development of Composting Schemes & Systems
Company becomes the first UK compost producer to receive industry standard certification PAS100
Won BALI special award for Recycled Product of the Year (for care compost). A new Retail was purchased in Oldbury, West Midlands
A & D Aquatics & Garden Centre opens in Oldbury. JM Plant Hire Ltd Was set up
